Friday 13th
Today is friday the 13th. I just came back from SGH. S’s father was hospitalised after meeting with an accident. The bus that he was driving in exploded and caught fire. Still in ICU, condition is quite critical. Pray hard…
Holiday
I will be gonig to Taipei with my colleagues in Sept!! Looking forward! Lots of shopping and eating!
宮心計
While still in the midst of Gossip Girl Season 2, something else caught my interests. Another HK drama, pretty similar to the storyline of 金枝慾孽, how the concubines vie for the emperor’s love and in hope to become empress dowager one day, how they struggle to gain wealth and especially power, and lots of politics and strategies that put modern office politics to shame.
Should we feel relieved that we are not born in those times? Maybe I should be counting my blessing.
Sidenote: Mummy got me this crystal bracelet that is supposed to bring me better luck. I am going to wear it daily. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Quitting without a Job
S just quitted her job with no offers on hand. Admire her for the courage which I think I will never have. I think I am cool with changes and have been coping well with them. However, uncertainty is something that I am still learning to manage. Quite strange to be coming from someone who does not quite believe in insurance ya.
Pasture is not always greener
Both J and I have been pretty unhappy at work lately. First, I had a rude person talking to me while looking at someone else. Next, I have someone coming to me and say who do I think I am to make a recommendation.
Maybe things are much simpler at where I came from. People are more friendly, fun and definitely more respectful regardless of what position you may hold.
Gossip Girl
Hooked onto Gossip Girl lately. Finished Season 1 and starting on Season 2. Cheap entertainment!
Losing Trust
Its difficult to earn it back once you lose it. It just takes 1 lie, even if it is a white lie, to bring down whatever you have built over time.
Updates!!
I just realised I have not blogged for the whole of June!
Time really flies, the World Cup tournament is here again. I remember that I was still new to DSTA during the last tournament. So much has changed since. I graduated and started earning income, I started dating Jason, I changed my job, I am getting married (many around me had), I made new friends and I lost contact with some old friends, etc.
In the area of work, job satisfaction has been satisfactory. Work-life balance is pretty balanced (delighted). After 1 year into my role, I changed my portfolio to something I used to be familiar with (those DSTA days). Looking forward to the new challenge.
Bridal studio called and informed that I should be selecting my gowns in August. Quite excited, though it is still more than 1 month away. Project Home’s progress has been decent, heard they have completed the building and is in progress with the exterior and interior painting. Hopefully the handing of keys would be shortly after our wedding. 
And I also turned 26 in the month of June! Last year of celebrating my birthday as Miss Lim!
